Old Colwyn Methodist Church is open to everyone. It exists for:

Sunday and midweek worship and fellowship, together with joint church and community activities.

Outreach and community involvement through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by mission and evangelism in the sharing of faith, fellowship and friendship.

Our Building

The church came into formal existence with the erection of the church building in 1909, constructed in turn of the 20th century arts and crafts style. It has a stone exterior and predominantly timbered interior.

August 2001 saw the laying of the Millennium Suite foundation stone by the then President of Conference, the Revd Christine LeMoignan. The formal opening and consecration of the extension was held on November 9, 2002.

In keeping with the old church and within the strict guidelines of the Old Colwyn Local Preservation Area the new building has a matching stone exterior but with 21st century interior facilities. At twice the size of any of the original rooms the Millennium Suite serves as both a place of worship and as a centre for church and community activities. Situated as it is in the Old Colwyn Local Conservation Area the grounds have a good number of specimen trees (including the rare tulip tree) which have been supplemented in recent years by the planting of extra native deciduous species.

Room Hire: Rooms are available for use by groups at reasonable rates. Facilities include state of the art kitchens, disabled facilities, limited on-site parking, lawns and grassed areas, etc. A limited number of weeks or weekends are also available to church groups.

Catering Groups: We are able to offer quality teas at reasonable cost to groups of up to 60 visiting the area.
