As minister I would like to welcome you to Nant-y-Glyn Methodist Church in Colwyn Bay on the balmy North Wales Coast. The church has a membership of around 60 and we gather for worship each Sunday morning at 11:00am and once a month for a service of Holy Communion at 4:00pm. The afternoon service enables us to have a more meditative, reflective service.
As society changes so must the church if it is to reconnect with and be relevant to the local community. Having celebrate the centenary of the church in 2005 we are now taking a step back and reviewing the life, work and ministry of the church at Nant-y-Glyn seeking God`s vision for the future. We are looking at every aspect of church life and all members of the congregation are being invited to take part. We hope that through this process we will be able to draw together as a Christian community, reconnect with a vision from God and serve him more effectively.
In the meantime we are developing our worship with various styles from meditative and reflective worship to all age communion services to themed services and all stages between. We are also exploring the ministry of healing and wholeness and seeking to develop the Sunday School with its committed and dedicated leaders.
The church building is used during the week by a Welsh language play group and a Karate group.
