St. John`s Llandudno is the circuit church to the Colwyn Bay and Llandudno Methodist circuit. It was opened in 1866 and is the original Church of English Methodism in North Wales.
The church is situated in Mostyn Street in the heart of Llandudno. It has Marks and Spencer as it`s neighbours. The church has a small car park but Sunday visitors are encouraged to park in nearby streets (free, but 90 minutes limit), on the promenade (meter), or in local car parks.
During the Summer, the St. John`s congregation is swelled by holiday makers. Worship is both traditional and contemporary. It has a strong spiritual life and is seeking to be more involved in the local community.
The influence of St. John`s stretches far beyond Wales. In addition to the local members many thousands of visitors share in the worship and work.
St. John`s has a membership of almost two hundred members. It serves the local population but also opens its doors regularly to visitors on holiday, for those who wish to browse or pray and to those in need of pastoral care.
In addition to Sunday Worship, regular activities include Women`s Fellowship, Women`s group, Bible study, Open door, Sunday seekers (Junior Church), Luncheon group, Parents and Toddlers group, Prayers for healing and wholeness , Men`s supper club, Ladies evening group, Wesley Guild, Banner group, the `Resound` singers, Charity coffee mornings and musical concerts in varying styles.
St. John`s Llandudno has its own web site, stjohnsllandudno.ukf.net, where you can find additional information.
Full details can be obtained from the church office. The church has an office open five days a week Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm. During the last twenty years the Church has undergone a complete refurbishment of its premises.
