St. John`s Conwy is a lovely church, about 120 years old, tucked within the walls of the old town next to the castle. The worship area is not large but perfectly suited to the size of the congregation lending a noticeable warmth and intimacy to worship.

There is a significant number of young people who come along to activities at church; the Sunday morning Sunday Club is run by a dedicated team and offers a good grounding in the Christian faith. The church has a very positive attitude towards young people and ensures they have a role in church life and worship that reflects their importance.

The recent major redevelopment of the premises offers a valuable and valued resource to the church and community. There are all the necessary facilities for people with disabilities and the church is also baby-friendly with good pram access and a staffed creche during services.

St John`s is a thriving English-speaking congregation and therefore attracts people from many backgrounds other than Methodism, who greatly enrich the life and worship of the church. On an average Sunday morning you could expect to find about 125 + worshippers and of those about 20 would make up the Sunday Club for young people.

The minister and worship leaders aim to blend the traditional and the modern in order to provide thoughtful and inspiring worship that reflects the local, global and ecumenical nature of the Church.

The church organises a busy weekly programme of events to appeal to all ages and has links within many areas of the community. Its mission work supports both local and overseas projects. In the summer it welcomes many visitors on holiday and through events such as `Quay Praise seeks to take worship outdoors to where the holidaymakers are.

Church parties are welcome at the church for lunch or high tea. For a menu please contact our Catering Officer on 01492-592702
